The itinerary places the pyramids front and centre. On Day 2, you stand at the base of the last surviving wonder of the ancient world, watch the Great Sphinx emerge from the Giza plateau in the morning light, then spend the afternoon inside the Grand Egyptian Museum with your Egyptologist guide. After 2 nights in Cairo, you fly south to Luxor and join the cruise, which carries you through some of the most extraordinary archaeology on earth: the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, Kom Ombo, Philae, and the High Dam at Aswan. The Wonders of Egypt tour price from £2,395 per person covers return flights from Heathrow or Manchester, all transfers at both ends, airport taxes, and fuel supplements. Your 2 Cairo nights are on half board at a 5-star Cairo hotel on the Giza side of the city, with a pyramid-view room upgrade available if you want to wake up facing the ancient world. A bed-and-breakfast option in Cairo is also available.
On the cruise, the 7 nights are full board: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner are served on board the 5-star Cristal-awarded vessel every day. An all-inclusive drinks upgrade is available for £199 per person if you prefer everything covered.

Depart the UK and arrive at Cairo International Airport, where you are met and transferred to your 5-star hotel on the Giza side of the city. Evening at leisure.
Head to Giza in the morning, where the pyramids stand as monuments to the pharaohs of the Fourth Dynasty and the Great Sphinx has kept its watch for more than 4,500 years. After lunch, continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum for a guided visit with your Egyptologist, including the Tutankhamun collection. Evening at leisure.
In the morning, visit Memphis, Egypt’s ancient first capital, and then Saqqara, where King Djoser built the Step Pyramid as his tomb in monumental stone, widely regarded as the first large-scale stone structure in history. Transfer to Cairo International Airport for the short flight south to Luxor, where you are met and transferred to your 5-star Nile cruise boat. Dinner is served on board, or a light snack for late arrivals, followed by an overnight in Luxor.
Breakfast on board, then an early morning visit to the West Bank, taking in the Colossi of Memnon, the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, and the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut.
Breakfast and lunch are served on board as you sail south to Kom Ombo Temple, including a visit to the adjacent crocodile museum. Sail on to Aswan and overnight.
After breakfast, visit the High Dam in Aswan, built between 1960-1971 to provide electricity to the villages along the Nile, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Isis on Philae Island. Lunch on board and afternoon at leisure with an opportunity to revisit the Temple of Philae for an **optional sound & light show in the evening (priced at approx. £55pp).
After breakfast, there is the option of a morning at leisure or an early morning **optional visit to Abu Simbel (priced at approx. £120pp by road or £280pp by air). This impressive temple, built by Rameses II stands on the banks of Lake Nasser. After lunch on board, there is a relaxing boat trip around Elephantine Island to the Botanical Gardens on General Kitchener Island. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.
The morning is at leisure. After lunch on board, set sail north to Kom Ombo for a brief stop, then continue sailing overnight.
After lunch, visit Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex in the ancient world, followed by Luxor Temple with its remarkable avenue of sphinxes. Return to the boat for dinner and overnight in Luxor.
