  1. Pyramids and Memphis Excursion

    Depart morning to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt and then to Saqqara, where the Step Pyramid built by King Djoser, the first Pharaoh to have his tomb built in monumental dimensions. His enormous Step Pyramid stands as a symbol of strength and powerful state, with the divine king at its centre.

    After lunch, the tour continues to Giza, where the famous Pyramids stand as monuments to the Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt and the Great Sphinx, which has kept its secrets for centuries.

  2. Egyptian Museum, City & Bazaar

    Depart after breakfast to The Egyptian Museum, containing fabulous treasures from Egypt's ancient past including the magnificent Tutankhamun collection.

    After lunch, the tour continues to the Citadel, a fortress built in 1183 AD, which houses a number of important monuments, including The Mosque of Mohamed Ali and Al-Gawahara Palace. The day finishes with a visit to the Khan el Khalil Bazaar.

  3. Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza

    Depart in the morning.

    After hotel pick up in a minibus together with your guide, you will be taken to the Pyramids located on the west bank of the Nile near Cairo. The Egyptian Pyramids (entrance fee not included) are the oldest and only surviving member of the Ancient Wonders. Out of the 10 pyramids at Giza, the 3 largest and best preserved were built at the beginning of the Old Kingdom. The most well-known pyramid, 'The Great Pyramid', was built by Pharaoh Khufu in about 2600 B.C. It is 479 ft high and was built from over two million blocks of stone. Next you will visit the famous Sphinx which, carved from the bedrock of the Giza plateau, demonstrates a mysterious marvel from the days of ancient Egypt. With the body of a lion and the head of a king or god, the Sphinx has become a symbol of strength and wisdom. You will then be transferred back to your hotel where the tour ends.

    Enjoy this tour of Cairo, the triumphant city, the capital of Egypt, considered to be the cradle of civilization and beacon of religion. This is the largest city in the Middle East and Africa. Cairo lies at the centre of all routes leading to and from the three continents: Asia, Africa and Europe. You will visit the most famous Egypt Museum where you will be able to see the finest collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world dating back from the Old Kingdom, the Middle Kingdom and subsequent dynasties as well as the renowned treasures of King Tut Angh Amun. You will also visit the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, the oldest shopping area in Cairo with Islamic designs that reflect the Islamic civilization. At the end of the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel.

    It is advisable to pack a small first aid kit containing remedies for short term stomach problems, dehydration and small cuts. Use of a repellent cream or spray is usually sufficient to keep mosquitos at bay. Try to avoid ice in drinks and use common sense when deciding what and where to eat and drink.
